OpenSky Network

byAPI3FreeAirnode v0.1.2

The OpenSky Network is a non-profit association that collects the ADS-B and Mode S messages aircraft transponders broadcast, through a worldwide network of volunteer receivers. Its REST API answers where every aircraft in coverage is now or was up to an hour ago, the flights it reconstructed from those positions by time window, aircraft and airport, and the trajectory of one flight. Aircraft are named by their ICAO 24-bit transponder address, airports by their ICAO code, and times are Unix seconds. This Airnode signs what it obtained from OpenSky, so a response is proof of what OpenSky answered rather than a claim by OpenSky itself. Every call spends credits from the account's daily credit budget, which every caller of this Airnode shares, and each operation says what it costs.

Every response carries an EIP-191 signature from the Airnode that served it, so the data can be attributed back to its source rather than trusted on reputation.

Interface

Served at https://airnode-opensky.fly.dev/. Each operation is reached the way the provider documents it, under https://airnode-opensky.fly.dev/api, and answers with the provider's own response and the attestation in headers, so a client built against the provider works unchanged. The same operations are also served as one JSON envelope on POST /, which the HTTP interface covers. Every request below can be sent from this page, and what comes back is verified right here in the browser.

GET /

Returns the machine-readable documentation this page is rendered from. Free, and everything an agent needs.

ANY /api/…

The provider's own requests, one per operation, forwarded as they are. The provider's response comes back untouched, with the attestation in the X-Airnode headers.

Verify the response

Paste a response to verify it originates from the current Airnode: the JSON a POST / answers with, or a passthrough response with its headers, as curl --include prints it.
